Deadline Extended for Summer Workshop


The deadline to apply for an annual high school journalism summer workshop sponsored by local news media organizations has been extended by one week, to April 18.

Journalists will train students from San Diego and surrounding counties during the free workshop June 15-26 at Point Loma Nazarene University. Current high school seniors and juniors are encouraged to apply.

The Multicultural Journalism Workshop is organized by CCNMA -- Latino Journalists of California, and co-sponsored by The San Diego Union-Tribune, the Society of Professional Journalists, KPBS Radio, NBC 7/39 and Point Loma Nazarene University, among others.

Applications can be downloaded at www.ccnmasd.org or at www.sdspj.org. Applications also can be obtained from high school journalism and yearbook advisers.
